It's easy for some you guys to say not to read the post in the "pub", but we mods have to at times and at times, there is more rants and BS that I care to read. Maybe we should just let go unmoderated or maybe someone who post more in the pub should moderate it. Any takers?

Having to sort through that stuff would be unpleasant.

I don't have to read anything in the pub and I'm still annoyed by the inane, narcissistic junk that so often appears there in the thread titles alone.

I often visit STR and click on 'unread posts' to see what has accumulated since my last visit. Is there any way to screen out all threads in the pub from this search function? That would be ideal.

This should be the plan

1. Make a list of all of users that post in The Pub
2. Close The Pub
3. Ban all users that post in The Pub
4. Make STR a "invite only site"

That should take care of the issue

Just got in from a ride, now I'm wrapped in this BS within 5 minutes of getting home. I'm starting to realise that I love mountian biking, and hate reading/posting about mountain biking.

why the hell would i want your advice on anything when I have STR to answer virtually all my questions? And what I can't get from STRers I can get from blogs from aforementioned STRers (assuming they give me passwords)

Wow dude, therapy? family? we are a loose community with riding bikes and geographical location being the common threads, and some of us have made great friends as a result. I'm not into being anyone's therapist.

That's insane. Talking about riding MTBs, and taking pictures of them to "prove" that you made some "upgrades" to your MTB, is a whole lot more important than knowing how to ride a bike.

MTBs are about showing off your purchasing power. They're not for riding.
