This is why I don't post much here anymore too many people STR taliban saying what to do what not to do, what to read what not to read, what to eat and drink what not to eat and drink and lets not to forget to pray five time a day to alla (if your a STR muslim I am sorry I am just making a point). Lighten the F up grab a beer and post in the pub. If you don't like it don't read it. I have life outside my work and mountain biking. I like to eat steak, drink booze, have fun sex, and I am card carrying member in the Red Sox nation. I enjoy the information on how to trim my nose hairs or how often I should trim my pupes.

Please do not delete but if you did I understand... I love you all.

A post that makes sense!

I guess I need to get with the program. Here are some topics you can expect hear from me about:

  • Am I too young to have gray nose hairs?
  • Boxers, briefs or freeballin' - A new poll
  • Be a contrarian - Patronize Exxon
  • Microsoft sucks - Long rant
  • Why didn't my mommy love me?

Sure - We'll start with "29er's and other mtb myth's" followed by "How to make off topic posts for dummies"

Sorry to upset the apple cart - I'm going riding. Maybe we all should so we can have something useful to talk about.

Hey guys, reality check.

This is a mountain bike site. It is not a therapy group, or a job hunting forum or another version of craigslist. It is not an online verson of the Jerry Springer show, nor is it an internet soap opera. It is not designed as a gossip site or another version of yahoo answers.

It is a site where the ONLY similarity between the members is that we all ride bicycles.

I think that Craigger (CalEpic) was simply trying to remind the populace that this is an MTB site first and foremost.

Before you flame, consider the logic. Think, then type.

I don't read the RR's about the same trails every week, or endless VQ training reports, etc... but I like hearing about new trails that I'd like to ride.
Engineer Mt Trail..Durango, CA

and I am here because I ride bikes and like the info and culture associated with it.

I don't think anyone is sayin don't post anything non bike related, but there are some extremes of people just brain dumpin', wankin', or using str as their personal blahg.

I thought The Pub is where mountain bikers go to exchange information unrelated to mountain bikes. If I am incorrect, would someone please explain what this forum is for?

Let's all just get along. I though STR is a family and a family supports others in times of personal conflicts/needs. You turn to your friends and family if you are facing problems from non related bike issues. It's therapy when you are not riding. I think that is why people are posting in The Pub just to keep themselves grounded and not taking their frustration out on other things.

P.S. So does this mean no more Lakers' threads?

i thought this was a site of friends that like to ride? and as a group of friends we like to talk about things that arent bike realated sometimes. I have posted a few things in the pub lately but just things that I wanted outside opinions on, from people of different backgrounds, I know who the people here are VS. some random other web forum.
Also a few of us are broken and un able to ride right now, so things may get a little random.
I seriously apprciate the Mods that have to sort through THE PUB
