God I love quakes as long as no one gets hurt but BLASTED I was in my car and missed the full affect!! I knew one was coming... oh well hope you're all ok?
Hey be sure to check on your dogs in case they freaked out. Thanks Joe I thought you meant me but I know now it wasn't. Have been sensing one for a few weeks though.

There were 4 of us girls in a car going to Taco Tuesday, we're in Brea. At first I thought it was the car dying then we noticed the signs swaying. We thought it was fun. One of the girls just moved here from Vegas...it was her first earthquake.

For those of you commuting via Metrolink, here is the latest:
12:51 pm An earthquake measuring 5.8 with epicenter near Chino Hills occurred at 11:42 a.m. today. Due to the magnitude of this event, Metrolink service is suspended at this time pending an inspection of our tracks within a 50 mile radius of the earthquake epicenter. At this time, trains on our system are operating at 20 mph. Trains that operate on the Inland Empire - Orange County, Orange County, Ventura County, Riverside and 91 Lines operate on routes owned by the Burlington Northern - Santa Fe Railway and/or Union Pacific Railroad and will not operate until those rail operators complete the same inspections.

This earthquake crap is ridiculous. This is my first one and it was pretty interesting. We aren't that far from Chinos Hills so it was pretty wild.

Tell me about it. I was fixing my lunch at work and then the next thing I know it felt like a bomb had been dropped or something. It took a second or two to realize that was really going on. Geesh, I would almost take my chances with a Tornado back in Alabama.

The excitement of seeing my bikes for the first time today was tempered by this scene right out of a horror movie:
That's right, they were leaning against one another!! No damage to either, just a few skipped heartbeats by their owner. Really dodged a bullet today--had these been Turners, I'd surely be looking at a warranty claim right now ![]()

If those had been Turners, you wouldnt've had enough pieces left to weld into a bottle cage

Felt the earthquake this AM at work in Seal Beach - was evactuated due to possible gas leak, came home and discovered I lost a 2004 bottle of wine that I brought back from Italy.
It was on display in a cool bottle holder. I guess I won't be using that holder anymore...![]() At least it was only one bottle - could have been worse - a few bottles creapt out of their homes slightly, just not far enough to fall. Hope everybody else fair well.
