Weird thing is I was riding my bike from Claremont to work in Chino at the time. Pretty close to the epicenter and didn't feel a d@mn thing. Happened to me before in a car. I guess I wasn't waiting for a red light @ 11:42!

Office in Irvine was shaking, and I thought at first it was just another jet buzzing the building (we're right next to John Wayne Airport), but when that rolling feeling started i made a dash for the doorway.
Up in Brea, my daughter's swimming lesson got canceled cuz of all the water that sloshed out of the pool at Sport Chalet.

Dam! I was sitting listening to a candidate presentation with a guy from New Jersey when right in the middle, BAM! Somehow I'm guessing he's not going to be accepting an offer from us.
I love Californians btw, right out side the conference room there was some big department potluck going on. Not a soul even flinched. Even though I'm from here, I would have grabbed that fried chicken and run!

I'm sure the system is inundated with people calling on loved ones in that cell area to make sure they're okay. Very common occurrence during such crisis.

I am in Orange on the 2nd floor. The first was a rocker and the aftershocks are disturbing anyone who could get back to work.
I have had boat rides smoother than that one wow. Not as much fun as the Nelson Trail last weekend though. I wonder how the trails are in Chino? |
