Just sitting here this fine Sunday morning, checking posts & playing with my kids, when I started to reminisce about my younger days. Pre wife & kids that is.
Before mountain bikes there were motorcycles. More specifically, I was a weekend warrior racing just about any weekend I could raise the cash in the local high-desert areas. I just wondered how many other ex-district racer/riders were lurking out there in STR-Land. Give me a shout and let me know when you rode, what club you were with, and where you raced. Me? I've been on bikes from the mid 70's thru the early 90's. I have been associated with three clubs in my lifetime: Rams MC, Hilltoppers MC, and the Masterlinks. Rams and Masterlinks are long gone but not forgotten. Hilltoppers are still out there in the LBC, and are greatly responsible for my love of Baja and the great racing that happens there. They used to put on awesome races in Rosarito Beach, prior to the construction and tourista boom of the early 90's. My most memorable events were being able to compete in the two very last Barstow-2-Vegas races and in the Hilltoppers' beach races. Long days and great weekends, with memories that will never fade. How about you? ![]()

Never raced D37 myself, but been dirt biking since the late 60's - early 70's.
I used to work with Tom Brooks, the father of Cordis and Tommy Brooks who had quite a streak of wins in D37 back in the 70's racing on the small bore bikes in the open class. |

I racer from about 82 to 91. I was in the Vipers MC but usually went with a group of friends I rode with. My last bike was a 1990 KX 500.

Old, old MX racer from the late '70's. I lived at Saddlepark park growing up. Trail rode off and on over the years since then.
