Minus the snowboarding and throw in rockclimbing/hiking and I sooo agree with you!!!! No money equals no education equals no job! (or at least a job you like). It's a real drag. So as it stands now success is for the elite! I know that's overly negative but man lately it's really driving me crazy.

No..No..No ..My Man...Come On! Chin Up and Kick some ass! Its all about hard work and desire!

Good fortune is the residue of design and desire.

Extreme example : Alfredo Quinones-Hinojosa: Migrant Farm worker to Neurosurgeon and Professor at Johns Hopkins: Need some inspiration read/listen to this.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/s...oryId=10013111

More common example: Me
Junior College, Made it to State School, (and work), Earn BSEE (Friggin Hard!), Work My Arse off at numerous jobs, Get better every time. Just got Promoted to Director of SW Engineering at a Major Corporation, with all the pay and bennies that go with it.. Good Life, bumps along the way, but no complaints.

Make no mistake it has been and will continue to be hard work, but I have some nice bikes, and time to ride.

It is all in the frame of mind, I think the last month or so and maybe the next couple of months for me is just settling into one of those 'bumpy times'. When I get a chance to stand back, like today out on the hill with the breeze I could see things clearer and know that life aint all that bad...after all I have bikes to ride and a family to come home too. I's all a matter of perspective really.

Congrats on seeing it through and being able to enjoy the fruits of your labors. It seems in todays economics that is an achievement not everyone is getting to do...but as with all things there will be a light at the end of the tunnel...eventually.

JMan just keep pedaling...On the Bike and In Life, after all its about the journey not the finish line.

I agree a ride on a frustrating day helps big time, and a good family to come home to pretty much caps it off. Balance.

Hey hope it did sound too.."I'm the Man" ish, god knows I am not. At times I have had the urge to "cash in, disappear and go native"...had to close the company I worked for a month before getting married, (unemployed and getting married...that sucked) But that just ended up leading to some new adventures...you just never know.

Thumbs up Good thread......

You could always "hit" the lotto.

As for me, I'll never make a million $$$.

But I've got a pretty good job as long as people gotta eat. Throwing 50lb case's & loading truck's all night long isn't very glamorus, but it pays the bill's and takes care of the wife and kid's, so it'll due.

Besides, with kids like these, who need's a milloin bucks?!

My riders...

and my track star!

And man, that ice cream sounded so could, I had to make myself an ice coffee, and some cinnimon bread!
