Question SoCal NFL team loyalties?

Being a LA Ram fan from birth, I come across many NFL fans in SoCal and I've come to the conclusion that former LA Rams & LA Raiders fans fit into one of the following groups;

1. Still cheer for the Oakland Raiders or St. Louis Rams
2. Now cheer for the Chargers because of geographic proximity
3. Have adopted some other NFL team for any number of reasons so they can cheer for somebody on Sundays
4. Don't currently claim any NFL team & are still waiting for an exapansion team or current team to move to LA (may be hardcore USC or UCLA fans) - I fit into this category

I don't understand group 1. If your girfriend or wife left you for a "better" guy, would you wish her good luck. Would you keep up to date on how her new relationship is going? Would you defend her when others talked negatively about her? No you wouldn't, you would say f her, I hope she gets herpes. Are there any Laker fans still in Minneapolis? I'm not questioning your fanhood, but help me understand.

Not all of us fit into one of them there categories

I grew up going to all the Rams home games, pops had season tickets. When they left I stopped rooting for them.

I have also been a Raiders fan since the '70s and thought they should have stayed in Oakland in the first place. I do not root for them as much as I used to as they have become one of the "wuss" teams in the league. They started to loose their "flair" for smash mouth ball when Alzado died, Long retired and then when Romanowski was gone they really lost my interest.

I have also been a fan of the Bengals, since they drafted Reggie Williams in '76 I believe. I still root for them today.

I hate the Raiders and Rams since they bailed on LA. I guess next would be the next closest team thats SD. I will root for Cardinals since I a friend plays there and for the Lions since Marinelli is a family friend.

NFL(No Fun League) bores the hell outta me.Never watch them anymore except when I get home from a ride and catch the last quarter or few minutes of the afternoon game. I prefer to watch college.Much more exciting.USC all the way!!!(Southern Cal that is,not So.Carolina.What the hell is a "gamecock" anyway? ) - Lloyd

Default Tough Times

My Dad had season tickets for the Rams and I went to a lot of games with him. I really tried to become a Rams fan, but I juct couldn't do it with that CANT roaming the sidelines giving the players hugs and kisses. THIS IS FOOTBALL!!!!!

I am from Wisconsin so I have always been a Packer Fan, going through some tough times these days. Mr. Favre is IMO the greatest QB ever and I hated to see him retire. But since he did, I think it was probably the best thing. It seemed like he hated playing in the frigid weather games this last year. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens.

Cleveland Browns, born and raised fan. I never understood how LA fans could root for a team that moved away, I'd never root for that team in Baltimore

Pittsburgh born an bred. Steelers all the way!

Seriously though. I'm not much of a football fan. There's nuts in Pittsburgh though. I just got back on Tuesday (thank God) and every day I left the house I felt like a foreigner because I didn't have on some sort of Steelers or Penguins attire.

I loved Terrelle he was seriously one of my favorites when he was with the team. I know a lot of Cleveland fans were sorry to see him go.

Yeah its to bad he plays a position many O Coordinators find to be unneeded. I know he was happy to be closer to home now in AZ but he liked it in Cleveland too.
