If you ask me the only thing that Vid shows is that was the fastest car that day.Maybe it suited his driving the best,ect..... If that car was that dominant it should win every race, but does not.

Werd...how'd you like the Carousel? The bigger issue for me was track memory. I think I only had 3-4 turns down after 8 laps.

But it's brand new?

And the C5R's were pretty dominant for a while.

I applaud chevrolet for making the ZR1 and can understand the appeal behind owning one. However, when I'm in the market for a 125k car give or take 25k, lap times around the ring won't make me sign the papers. A car that's actually worth a 125k, looks like a 125k, and feels like 125k behind the wheel, is the car that I'll buy. With audi handling the manufacturing of the Lambo Gallardo that's a car worth a serious look. The Aston Marton Vanquish is dead sexy but just might get smoked by a Honda civic si with a turbo kit. And then there's Porsche. A car company that staked their success on the track and became the most profitable car company in business. There's no doubt that any fortunate owner of a GT (x) got every dollar's worth of car that they paid for. No compromise, no substitute*

*BTW grain of salt included, I drive a lifted F150, but I'm pretty sure I could break 9 minutes in it*

*more grains of salt.

You know, it's sort of a weird feeling when you have to look up and left to see the exit of the corner. The only thing I can equate to is comming around turn 4 at Daytona. Very similar feeling. The sensation is strange that you are getting squished into you seat and with the g-force pulling your helmet down as you are trying to look up.

As for Track memory, it took me a bout 10 laps till I felt comfortable attacking every corner. That many features(corners & bumps) is brutal on my brain.....

Also the Alfa was not the most compliant ride. Although great handling, I at that time was used to faster cars(formula chassis). Jarring you way around the course was very taxing. I remember getting out of the car with a tingly sensation all over my body from all of the vibrations.
