Default It's Been A Long Long Race
After 6 years, 7 direct action conflicts, 3 operations, and 3 duty stations, SSGT Robert "Bob" Burnes is officially, at the stroke of midnight tonight, a civilian.

It's been the longest road of my life, but well worth the time to travel it. I'll continue on in Combat Search and Rescue in the Air National Guard, but only part-time.

Time to grow a beard!!!! Well...at least until August 18th when I start my new job.

Thank you for your service and commitment! Congrats on the beard thing--I'd grow one, but I'm not Greek enough.

I did 6 years in the Navy from 83-89 and it was tough to adjust to civilian life at first. Looking back I wouldn't trade that 6 years in for anything. Thanks for your service. Congrats and best of luck to you.
