the wtf? of the day award goes to the sign at the north end of town:

"Yakima: Washington's Palm Springs"

um. yep. sure.

in their defense, it is about 93 degrees and with zero humidity....but the winter thing that happens around here begs me to differ (i was here in January- upper 20's during the day)

other funnies: the Yakima international airport, tire center and hair care salon is smaller than the old version of John Wayne..and, yes, you've got to be over 25 to remember that one

only plus: the killer pub i found in January is still here! funny part was that the bartender was originally from Huntington Beach
