A picture tells it all:
![]() It's all-electric powered, you steer by leaning, and it's gyroscopically stabilized. I want one! Full story: http://www.chicagotribune.com/busine...0,111563.story

Just another alternative fuel transport. Invented and built by an 18 year old. The prototype only does 15 mph, but he expects to get it up to at least 40mph.
It's purpose, at this point, is the wow factor.... I've never seen one before, and it certainly got my attention. For most things it could be used for, I'd probably ride my bike anyway.

Here's a concept vehicle my company made a few years back. Hydrogen fuel cell powered, gyroscopically stabilized. I'd hate to think what something like this would cost

Interesting stuff. I also think a simple bike is very hard to beat for low cost transportation, but like to see new choices hitting the market. The technology is pretty advanced for a lot of new alt. fuel devices, but until recently the economics made no sense. At $5,000 is anyone surprised that the Segway has been a total bust? As prices drop and (if) fuel costs remain high, some of these new gadgets will be viable and hopefully commercially successful.

Nice until it throws a chain at 40 mph.
I have an article about that thing and it's chain drive. The wheel helps you lean it's neat but if it throws a chain it send you right onto your face. Just like when someone sticks a post in your spokes. Quote:
