Do you own any firearms? I'm just checking. Should this post be considered as the first sign? Should we turn it into the police now? How about the news?
You didn't apply at my work, did you? We don't know eachother, but we're all cool, right?

Put the gun down.
You're not the only one living that life. I do the same and have 6 kids. No, I'm not bragging. Just letting you know you're not alone. I miss "down time", my wife, not having a cramped neck from "thinking" all the time, dark hair (at least its still thick), and my bike. Let us know what type of work you do or want to do and we'll all try to give you some leads.

Slow, We don't know each other and I don't feel right joking about your struggles (about my own, no problem but not yours). Sounds like things are pretty tough at the moment. This may or may no be of any comfort for ya, but I will pray for you. I believe Jesus Christ is real and that God is active in our lives. I've seen him do some great things in my own life. Sounds like a new job is the initial move, though you have been trying. Stay strong and don't let like slip from you because of circumstances you don't really have control over. Getting back out on the trail may be theraputic.

I'l an environmental planner/env. consultant/ compliance person. i have specialized in telecommunications compliance in the past, and ideally, that's what i'm good at, what i like, and what I'm trying to get back to. I'm approaching wanting to jump at anything that'll pay me similar to what i currently make. sorry. there's a "thanks" for your trouble.

Check out crunch point by Brian Tracy, if all else fails realize you are fortunate to have benefits at all. My job is straight commission, this becomes quite apparent in the last week of the month. The building we are working in is up for sale by the owners of the company, so a retirement plan might not include 3%matching. I too have sent dozens of resumes to find recieve only scattered replies. The reality is that unemployment is very real right now and is only getting worse, in my opinion if you are making rent that is good shape.
Still just like when planning for retirement it is vital to pay yourself first, which in this case means giving your boss the bird and spending some quality time with your bike. It does not take much, just a couple of loops a week to make all the difference. What happens is that all the crap builds up in your body and it never gets excreted. Testosterone in particular must be expunged or else we are no fun to be around. So Dr. Disco reccomends 10k of single track STAT, follow with a booster shot later in the week. Go a litte easier on the bottle and harder on your self and if all else fails try pot. |

The venting is a good thing as opposed to more drinking. When you can't stand the work, try to enjoy some of the people you work with instead. That has helped me. You may even find some are in worse situations. Hang in there...Don't lose this job until you have another lined up! Get a ride in when you can.

Of course theres always my way....
OK, my sense of humor is often misinterpreted, so I propose a solution. Lets make it a WED night postal ride, I know just the route that NO ONE here will be able to clean and more importantly is a great way to blow off steam. Runs through OPA/Cowan figure we should start around 6? Comments, suggestions? |

Just look forward to the day you get to tell your micromanaging weenie's of bosses that you QUIT (after you get a new position) and they can SUCK IT (if you don't need them for future references)!!! I HATED my micromanaging boss and job in a private lab, the day I was able to tell her I accepted a position with the city was one of the BEST days of my life. Just think if my job hadnt been so shitty that moment wouldn't have been so good... The worse off that you have it now, the better/sweeter that day is going to be for you.
Just a thought that may help keep it positive (if thats possible)... ![]() |

It is important to vent but then to let it go.
Focusing on the negative in your life will only draw more negativity toward yourself. It's hard to do but it could change things for you. Best of luck ![]() |
