First of all - a BIG congrats to your success.

As to employees - do it right when you start or there will be hefty fines and penalties following. If you choose the "independent contractor" route, make sure your accountant explains the guidelines or you'll owe taxes soon enough.

If it's better to have true employees, keep track of Federal Withholding, S.S., Medicare, CA-PIT, CA-SDI and EDD. You'll need to match a few of these amounts as the employer. Know your deposit due dates!
