Damn..pretty nuts.

It's 87 here inside my house in Irvine. I imagine it's closer to 100 outside.

I don't turn the A/C on. It's part of my heat training.

but i'm with dubjay and the heat training. i teach in l.a. and never use the a.c. in my car. i think it was 97 there today.

I just did a 20 mile ride from Lake Forest thru Irvine around the old base and back. It was so hot there was no sign of sweat on my body or shirt. I just dried up as soon as it came out.

I've had funner rides.

I do see a tad bit of sunlight hitting your thermometer. Even just a speck of sun will pump up that temp.

But yes, it's cooking out. I love it!!!! Beats June gloom.

Most home and thermometers are horribly innacurate. According to weather.com it crested at 105°F in Chino Hills today. My car said 111°F at lunch. It's hot enough whatever the actual number is.

Rode Sycamore (San Diego) this morning. At 7:30 it was 78 degrees, when the ride ended at 10:10, it was 95 and SMOOOOKING hot. WOW, it was the hottest 17 miles I have done in a LONG time.

Just the opposite for me, grew up in Vista and then moved out here to the Murrieta area about 15 years ago...I still haven't gotten used to this cursed heat. 113 at work today!!! uggh.

Weather.com sez it is 108F in Woodland Hills right now (5pm).

Unbelievably, it also shows there is 0% chance of precipitation...
