Default Paging Steppie! Upgrade your Safari or shiat-can it for now (use FF 3)...

Apple finally acknowledges big security vulnerability with Safari 3.1.1 known as "Carpet Bomb". Apparently, they just released 3.1.2 but the concern won't be fully resolved until 3.2 which is scheduled to release in September. I believe this concern applies to all Safari users, Mac or Windows. Jorge, what's up?

I'm usually in the camp of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". I've been tooling along just fine with my AOL for years.

I downloaded the v3 and my websurfing has never been faster. Thanks for the link!

I might as well learn some more. What add-ons do you guys like best?

Add-on: Remove It Completely(Permanently)

You can even get rid of the text that says there was an ad for perfectly flowing text.

However - YES! YES! - You can RIP anything, even someone's sig image that you find annoying.

3.0 bugs - weird cursor behavior/position when replying to a post. So sometimes I use IE Tab.

Might you be referring to Remove It Permanently?

Personally, I use Ad Block Plus with Firefox 3.

Go to add-ons and search for "oldbar" and it will change the address bar back to the way it was but you get to keep Firefox 3. I wasn't digging the new address bar so I got rid of it. Later.

I like the new FF3, but I am kinda sad that FasterFox isn't compatible, and I don't know when they will release a 3.0 version.

I sent them an email but I have not heard back yet...

I installed FF3 on all 3 of my computers the day it came out. All 3 systems had FF2.x with Add-ons prior to V. 3. My primary system took just fine but the other two, I've had nothing but problems. One system, the moment you load FF3, it immediately goes into crash and recovery mode (safe mode made no difference) and the 3rd computer, it works for a few minutes and then crashes. I'm thinking it's gotta be something to do with Add-ons. I've done a complete strip of the old stuff from V 2 but still no success. I haven't had much time to fiddle with it but I'm thinking I need to remove all registry references to Firefox and delete all Firefox files manually (after uninstall) and try again. Not really worried about it as I know I'll figure it out. More curious if others are having similar crash problems.

BTW, one working computer is running Vista Biz and the 2 problematic ones are Vista Basic and XP.

Here's a snap shot of the error. Restart firefox from error window sends it in a loop and selecting "quit" does exactly that.

There's a reason why not to jump on new releases band wagon. There was a lot more problems with FF3 then originally anticipated. I, for one, had many issues and went back to V 2.016 on 2 of my 3 computers.

Mozilla just released 3.01 so if you're an FF3 user and it you've been having problems, this update should resolve some if not most of the bugs. I know it did for me (Flash related add-in & gmail bug among other ones).

Here's a list of known bugs by FF V 3.0
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=422308

Download V3.01 here...

Sorry, geek. Not a fan or a user of Red Hat nor Oracle HD. Don't try to be smart-arss and show us all how smart you really are or the next time I see you, I'll smack you upside the head with my JD bottle. Focker!

BTW, clever sig material. Did it take you long to come-up with that?
