WHERE TO BUY YOUR USA-GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON--
Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor. An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia Just buy from gas comp anies that don't import their oil from the Saudis. Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil. These companies import Middle Eastern oil: Shell.......................... 205,742,000 barrels Chevron/Texaco..........144,332,000 barrels Exxon /Mobil...............130,082,000 barrels Marathon/Speedway....117,740,000 barrels Amoco..........................62,231,000 barrels Citgo Gas comes from South America , from a Dictator who hates Americans. Do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (Oil is now $90-$95 a barrel) Here are some large companies that DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil: Sunoco..................... 0 barrels Conoco................ 0 barrels Sinclair................ 0 barrels BP/Phillips........... 0 barrels Hess.................... 0 barrels ARC0.................... 0 barrels Also: Pilot, Flying J, Love's, RaceTrac, Valero All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing. But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do. Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!! I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to a t least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted! If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!! Again, all yo u have to do is send this to 10 people. How long would all that take? Last edited by genusmtbkr5; 06-16-2008 at 02:46 AM. Reason: moved to the pub |

Jason, this letter has been out in different forms since the early'90s.Fact is all companies use or trade in Middle Eastern oil,or from countries with very oppresive or shady governments. Some of the companies on this list have since merged or have been bought out more then 10-15 years ago.My company(ARCO) was bought out by BP in 2000 and finalized in 2002.Amoco was bought out by BP in 1996.BP not only uses Mid-East oil in it's L.A.refinery,(where I'm currently writing this),but also in it's other refineries around the world. Here in Carson (ARCO's L.A.refinery),we're currently running a blend of Iraqi oil called Basrah,as well as North Slope oil, crude from Saudi Arabia,Venezuela and of all places Nigeria.(Now there's a fine example of a country that loves it's people!) Exxon,Chevron/Mobil,BP,Oxy Pete, etc.,all have extensive holdings in South America(Venezuela),West Africa and Africa in general,Alaska,North Sea,Middle East,Far East or are in partnerships with countries such as Russia to help develop their reserves,in return they get a contract to purchase crude at a reduced rate. Some of the companies listed are not oil producers but what we in the industry call "downstream producers".Companies like Valero only buy crude from an "upstream producer" and refine it into fuel or lubricants.Large companies like Exxon/Mobil etc.are both up and downstream producers who produce and refine as well as sell excess crude. This is crude that they do not have the capacity to refine,or a nearby refinery so they sell it to a refining company like Valero.Oxy Pete(Occidental Petroleum) is an example of an upstream producer that has no refining capacity. They have extensive holdings in Libya of all places.(Think Khadaffi,or as we use to say in the '80s,"Khadaffi Duck".)Bottom line Jason is that no oil company depends on just one production source alone.Sorry if this is long winded, but the amount of speculation, rumors, and just plain dis-information is amazing.Take care.- Lloyd

Unfortunately, we don't have any troops left to send...the end result of Bush using this answer for EVERY problem. Recruiters have not come close to meeting their quotas...in ANY branch...since Bush took office.

To add to Un-kola's long winded answer.
There are companies that only deal with storage and transportation of product (i.e. KMEP) The point being. If company "A" puts 1 million barrels into a pipeline in LA and wants to ship it to El Paso. Well you're not getting that same 1 million barrels out the other side. It's all about measurements. Very few oil producing companies own their own pipeline networks and get to keep what they pull out of the ground. BTW un-kola I assume since you have access to a computer your not just a normal worker out there. You know of SPEC Services outa Fountain Valley? I've been there for a while now. We've got about 30 riders in the company. |

Funny Sean. When sep 11 happened I offered to re-enlist so young kids did not have to go die.I was denied. They were only taking "MOS" matches.I was against it, but somebody has to go, so why not those older ones so the young can learn from mistakes made and not die for the greedy.

I have been seeing this for years but the gas prices are a bit higher now so it makes me think more about taking action.

Drag him out on rides with you. He owns a mountain bike, don't let him tell you otherwise. He and I used to ride at the Fullerton Loop for some after hours exercise.
