Default My New Love

I confess, I have been in Portland, Oregon this week having an affair. My first love, and what I thought was my one and only love, has been supplanted.

My passion for my first love is not gone, it's just, well, I need a break.

It's not you, it's me. Really.

I have loved you a long time and we have had a lot of great times together. I remember seeing you for the first time in Belgium years ago. You were beautiful, tart, and sassy. You made me want you. You gave me nights I will never forget. And the first time I tasted you, my toes curled.

I hope we can still be good friends. If you will allow it, I still plan to have you over every weekend. Yes, you're still that good and you have not lost your mojo.

My beloved sour Belgian ales, you have been good to me, but I confess, I have become a hop head. I don't like those maniacal, overly hopped flossies that whore themselves out as extreme beers. No, my love has shifted to the refined and elegant IPAs of the Pacific Northwest.

I love Workhorse IPA from Laurelwood Brewing Company and Hammerhead from McMenamins. I'm not sorry for this. I can't apologize for how I feel or how God made me.

I will return to you sour Belgian ales, but for now, I could use a good hop. I will give you joint custody of my Duvel tulip glass because I respect your personality and attitude. I hope to see you again soon, when the IPAs quench my passion.

Love,

Sam

Do I sense that the Brewmaster Ride/Beer Tasting, Part Deux, may be in the offing?

To much of an investment. He has a relationship with Stone since they bought his old brewing facility in Escondido.

NEWS ALERT
from The Wall Street Journal
June 11, 2008

Belgium beer giant InBev has made an unsolicited bid of $46 billion for Anheuser-Busch, Anheuser said in a news release. Anheuser said that its board will carefully evaluate the nonbinding, $65-a-share proposal. The board "will pursue the course of action that is in the best interests of Anheuser-Busch's stockholders."

Are you telling me that RR doesn't bottle all of their beers themselves??? Or is it just bc blind pig is a big release with lots of bottles?

I think that beer is about two pizza's worth of calories though so just don't eat with it.
