Default Where Is The Gas Price Heading?

$139 per barrel and who knows how much by mid summer. This is crazy. I am so sick of it already.

I would too if there was a shower or a 24hrs fitness nearby.

But I guess, we are going to have to do it sometimes soon weather there is a shower or not.

No shower for me. Just a quick PTA and I'm set.

You're lucky if you can ride a bike to work. I have to wear a suit a tie and travel to different Courthouse's throughout the day.

I did not buy a yearly parking pass for Laguna this year, instead bought a beach cruiser to go to town on.

Remember France pays $8.94 a gallon, Germany $8.63, and England is at $8.13. MY prediction is that we are going to be over that by same time next year, if not by October. Our culture here is built on the fact that we can drive places, while theirs is a Walking culture. On the flip side bike sales are skyrocketing and that whole obesity epidemic may end. Or people will just keep plugging away and go broke because "I can't bike that Far"

If it hasnt already started there's going to be a BIG paradigm shift in the way people think about their day trips and combining trips. But the difficult thing that Jared mentioned is that our society especially out here is based on sprawl and everything is centered around cars and pedestrians are a second thought.

You see the auto industry already is looking at things differently. For the first time ever, the ford F150 was FIFTH in overall sales. The new sales leader was...drum roll...the Honda Civic followed by cars like the Accord, Camry, Corolla. Detroit's big 3 announced they're shutting down more plants that were building the big SUV's...the tide is turning...because the all mighty dollar has spoken

All good, but California isn't set up with good public transportation. What about elderly people that can't ride a bike? Will they sacrifice there health care to afford gas? Also there will be tons of people who can no longer afford car insurance so we will have to be extra carefull on our bikes.
