I hate climbs!

bruh, I am with ya 100% on that. If you have small pets, and your want to protect your "pack", then don't let it out unattended. Especially if you live near uninhabited areas. Most animals will run away if you try and scare off, but killing them should be the absolute last option. |

I think a domesticated dog or cat is easier prey, an easy meal. So for coyotes' predatory behavior in neighborhoods, it makes sense. They want a meal that requires expending as less energy as possible. Domesticated cats are meatier and probably tastier than rabbits.

This is always upsetting.
Here are a few point that might clear up what is happening. Keep in mind when I use "you" I'm speaking generally and don't mean anyone specific, just the general "you". 1. You bought a house in the hills where natural predators live. 2. These are indigenous animals. You moved to them. 3. Cats, domesticated rabbits, parrots, etc are not indigenous. You’ve brought them here. 4. Then when pets, or hikers, or mountain bikers, or kids get eaten we then want go out and kill the animals. 5. People have worked hard to remove themselves from the food chain but need to remember that we are in fact animals. We are still part of a larger system. Does that mean if your friend is being eaten by a cougar do you just shrug your shoulders and say “Oh well”? No. You help him. But then you also need to know that if you bring domesticated animals, hikers, bikers, or even small children into a situation with wild animals there are risks and that’s nature. People make mistakes and animals end up paying the price. We should be better than that. </rant> |

my dog is a staight up cat killer. She goes staight for the kill every time. No sniffy sniffy and the scratches don't seem to bother her.
So far she's got 3 of them. And just like those coyotes, she eats them too. I like cats so please people, keep yer cat outta my backyard. |

I am a cat lover, but I must agree they are vicious critters. I had to put some kind of rodent out of it's misery once, because of our family pet. It was a long time ago and I forget what kind of critter it was. But I remember that it was hard and painful for me to do.
I have no pets now, and I'll probably only get one from a shelter if I do. But there are always plenty of pets for adoption (many formerly neglected/abused). I hope any animal lovers out there will recognize that it's good homes that are in short supply. Please don't let your pets breed!
