Ironically I had this when I lived in Japan of all places. Great country to be a beer aficionado.

As far as the original question, I don't know for sure that I can answer this. For a second I thought maybe a classic like Kwak, or Weihenstephaner Korbinian, then something hoppy like Stone's 11th Anniversary, or Green Flash Imperial IPA. There are just way too many outstanding beers out there to be forced to choose just one.

Piraat is deliciously evil. It's 10% ABV but it tastes so smooth. I might buy one for tonight. Thanks for reminding me of a great beer!

I forgot to put that on my list for Saturday, but yeah, I've got 1 bottle of that to open for the faithful.

If there were only one beer left in the world --- I'd share it with Brewmaster on his birthday!

Alesmith Speedway Stout. Only available in 750ml, so it's larger than most and it packs a punch at 12%.

Erdinger in Germany. You can taste something funny in the American version.

Ok sorry to put you all through that moment of insanity. I think I've tried all of those beers - most of them are right up at the top in my book, I won't mention the coors and pabst comments - oh wait I just did - darn.

Anyways thanks and now I need a trip back to belgium or Germany! Nothing beats the good stuff straight from the source!!
