I know for some people this will be the worst post ever but I know there are some hardcore Hawaiian shirt guys out there
With the nice weather with sunny days approaching you start seen more and more Hawaiian shirts around and I have some personal rules about how to wear them and when not to. I used them every weekend as long I obey my rules: Rules to wearing Hawaiian shirt: 1.- Never iron a Hawaiian shirt: Hawaiian shirts are all about relax and you can’t do that with an ironed shirt, I even seen some with the perfect lines like military uniforms! They look depressing 2.- Never tuck in a Hawaiian shirt: That looks so bad, Hawaiian shirts are about letting all hang out and don’t care about what the world think of you wearing flower patterns 3.- Polo shirts or t-shirts with flowers are NOT Hawaiian shirts: No need to say more. 4.-Never cover your Hawaiian shirt with a sweater or jacket: If you have to use one then is not a Hawaiian shirt day at all, you have to wear it by itself and let it shine. I had met a few hardcore people, some collect hundreds of them of every patter you can think, sports, places, colors, my favorite one that I own has all the main landmarks in San Diego on it Can you add any more rules to my list? |

IMO, no one can pull off a Hawaiian shirt better than Neil Adams, Mr. 1 x 1 Clyde.

I disagree about tucking the Aboriginial Pacific Islander Garb into one's slacks. Whereas open and loose goes with shorts and casual slacks, tucked and a belt makes the shirt instantly appropriate for the most tony of business meetings. Of course, I also wear an italian horn pendant in my chest hair... on a chain, not clipped to the locks.

I found an old photo of me in a white Hawaiian shirt during my 30th b-day at a friends...damn I'm old. Don't ask me why my friends gave me a best buy gift card that looks like a purse. Bastards.
