FJ is gone, that build date had potential to get engine bay cracks, they have fixed the problem since...plus the FJ gets like 15 MPG, with gas reach 4 bucks easy I need something a little less thirsty. I do like the new trail team FJ though all white with black trimming...its hot. But I probably will pass on it.

I noticed a slight difference with just the rack, but a huge difference with bikes on the rack on the roof. Wind drag is huge for MPG. Once it got over $3.50 I took the rack off my roof and now am back to stuffing the bike in my trunk. I'll put up with the inconvenience, but with disc brakes it's much easier to do this than year's ago with v-brakes. It wasn't that hard then but disc brakes make it very easy now.

I have a Navi, and i get 14 mpg but the bike on the rack i get about 12-13, but with snowboards i get no change. Prius people have said they get a 5mpg drop, and they have a cool site that tells you how to put a hitch on one. So I would say tow hitch, but I dont care about mpg when I think of some one running into me and my bike ends up flat. And what if Insurance won't pay for the bike.

That wasn't a pretty sight.
