And here in the good 'ole U.S of A, land of the free, home of the brave you can go to jail in Marin County for clearing some dead wood in a forest to create a bike path!

Thanks Doc. I might trade in the Land Rover for a Tatra from the Czech Republic.
By the way Tatra is also their highest mountain range, I spent my first vacation there when I was 8.

Default Try this Ardco 4x4

I drove an Ardco 4x4 when I was a young lad doing seismic survey in the Louisiana swamps in the mid-70's. They still make them. They could handle terrain worse than that video, primarily because they didn't have a rigid frame -- they have an AO joint -- articulated, oscillating -- with hydraulic ram steering from the center of the vehicle. You sat in a bucket seat straddling the transmission, surrounded by a roll cage/brush guard. You could ride up the trunk of a pretty good size pine tree until it bent over and broke, and normally didn't need the 16,000lb PTO winch until the mud got really thick and over 4 feet deep or so...but occasionally we had to radio in a breakdown...coincidentally near a field with magic mushrooms....oh we had some fun back then.

Man, that would be the ultimate shuttle vehicle. How many bikes can it hold? There's a few places in CO and UT where that would be perfect.

those vehicles look like a giant mechanical centipede. Where can I buy one?

Of course it would be a cool shuttle vehicle, I don't think everyone would be happy about inhaling a rediculous amount of black smoke...
