I've heard all sorts of jobs being mentioned when on the trails but never any sort of law enforcement. I'm sure there's a good reason for this = no time to ride? hours? etc

just wondering if any members here are officers or the sort

Oh....I don't work in law enforcement but was considered for the academy for FBI when I graduated from college.

I deal with them a lot for work, I use to only deal with the for about 3 years. I know they have the time maybe just not there thing. Most have 4 on 3 off schedules with 10 hour shifts, i think LAPD even has 3 on 4 off with 12 shifts. With that being said it will depend on the agency you are applying with. You probably won't have a lot of time while in the academy. Also depending on the agency if they find out your a rider you may end up on bike patrol though , which could be both good and bad.

Edit: One of the reasons why I got into law enforcement was the ability to be able to grope hot women without being assaulted or worse, incarcerated.

The sucky part about my job; every time I see ODB now, he claims to have illegal drugs and a loaded weapon on him, proceeds to drop his pants and insists on having a cavity search. Every job has it's down sides and that's happens to be mine. It's no fun putting your foot up a friends arss but someone's gotta do it.
