Puhlease. MVP's make their team better. MJ made the role players around him step up. Scottie Pippen was AT BEST a role player and not a star in his own right. Kobe is no different from Tracy Mcgrady. Can score bunches and is a good individual player. Until he wins a championship by himself, he hasn't proven anything. Chris Paul was way more deserving of the MVP this year. He has single handedly brought New Orleans to where they are.

Shaq proved that he didn't need Kobe to win a championship. Kobe has yet to prove that. We'll see.

I dislike Kobe, but ...
Kobe Bryant is not only the best player on the Lakers; he is also the best player in the league! Personally, I wanted Chris Paul to win league MVP this year, but his team did not end up first in the Western Conference. To Kobe's credit he has made Gasol a star which has allowed Odom to take on a more natural 3rd scorer role. I am just thankful that Bynum is not playing for the rest of the year, because if Bynum was in the lineup no team could beat the Lakers in a seven game series.

I am saying it right here NO is going to beat the Lakers. Let me think on that one, yea I am going with it. So much Kolby Jack Bryant hate here...wow. The dude is a jack arse but he can ball like it or not. T.O. can ball too and he is more of crazier jack arse than Kolby Jack Bryant.

Sorry.......I just go by what the experts say.....like his coach. At this point in their careers Kobe is more of a complete player.

If he did a Spike Lee commercial would you like him better

dood. phil err, i mean the zen master HAS to say that to appease Kobes' f'n ego.

Complete player? U mean he has better stats than this?

Common Kobe is great (again a total DHead) but by no means better than MJ. he was clearly the best during his playing days and best of all time (until my kid kills the rack)

Controversy Blows Up in Chicago
By RICK GANO,
AP Sports

CHICAGO (May 7) - Coming off an 0-6 road trip when they managed just nine runs, the Chicago White Sox returned home Tuesday and were confronted with more questions about two female blowup dolls than they were about their shaky offense.

Joe Ranze, AP

Lewd Behavior In the Locker Room
White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen is trying to quell a controversy surrounding a display in the team's locker room, which involved two blow up dolls and baseball bats. Click through for more questionable behavior.

Before Sunday's game in Toronto, an unnamed player positioned two nude blowup dolls in the clubhouse with bats of the players fanning out around them - a ritual of sorts to try and get the team out of its slump.

Some found the shrine more tasteless than amusing. Manager Ozzie Guillen said it was a joke that has been blown out of proportion after it got play in the press. General manager Ken Williams, who had lunch Tuesday with Guillen, said he was disappointed by the display and was assured it wouldn't happen again.

You should have seen the things they did in the club house back when the Babe played or the 50's and 60's Dudes smoking ciggs with a beer in one hand while some baseball groupie was giving the dude a BJ.
