Default Movie reviews: lose or gain 10-11 dollars worth of entertainment

With movies being kinda pricey, and Popcorn being even more how many of you read movie reviews. I know amongst my co workers/friends we discuss movies constantly. I generally use yahoo as a good gauge of the movies Id like to see i.e.:

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809837028/user

but however, notice that the regular folks gave this movie an -A(for now as the day goes on this may change with more reviews) and critics gave it a C. which would you listen to???

Personally I listen to the regular folks, as Im one and don't need my movies to meet too many standards...if the movie gets a C from Yahoo readers I tend not to go see it.

The last movie I saw in theaters was Cars. Seriously. Before that it may have been Castaway.

Justin and I went to the movies in college when we got discounted tickets, but it's just too expensive. We don't even rent movies.

But, between the two... I'd rather wait a year and sit on my couch and watch a movie. I don't have to worry about getting a seat, having my seat kicked, people moving around, kids crying, etc.

Sorry, no help at all

FWIW, I always say "Oh that looks good, let's go see it" but we never do!

I even have 4 free movie tickets.

To be honest it pi55es me off that people seem to think that the movie theatre is a restaurant. When i go to the movies I want to be immersed in the experience and frankly some oik munching his way through a small meal next to me is pretty irritating and ruins the experience. And lets not even go there with the people who turn their mobiles on every 5minutes to see if they have a text msg - dark room, glowing brilliant screen.......distracting?

I say make the popcorn $20 or more

actually movie food has gotten pretty good the Bella Terra cinema serves Nathan's hotdogs and kettlecorn popcorn. but still outrageous prices... the worse is going to the movies with a talker. I was dating someone once and she talked the entire movie "what happens now" LIKE I SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE. my favorite was during War of the worlds she asked me if Tom Cruise would have to stop for gas when he had to drive from Boston to NYC..."GAS!!!! of course but they arent going to show that now are they? its not interesting or something, can I just watch the movie please..." was my reply. true story.

Hate theatres...last one was for the Lion King . I laughed I cried....ah hell animal movies always get me!!

When I pursued acting I used to actually audition for those stupid commercials where people pretend they just saw the movie and rave about it...of course they're fake and I fealt like an idiot!!!

Blockbuster moviepass, swap movies as many times as I can drive back in forth.
Sometimes in less than an hour.

Roger and I are avid movie goers (at least once a week).

We have Regal Club cards and get free movie tickets, sodas and popcorn regularly. Oh, and Tuesday is free popcorn night (you can upgrade to a large for a buck).

We do it cause we like to get out of the house.

For reviews, I watch the trailers (usually when we are at the movies).

The last movie we saw was Forbidden Kingdom (last Tuesday). Funny how Jet Li and Jackie Chan previously retired but came out again to do this movie.

I like the big screen experience and the 'atmosphere' u get at a much anticipated new release.

I was once in a really good movie where some non English speakers arrived and one thought it'd be a good idea to translate what was going on to the other. I went got all 'Empire' and went Simon Cowell on her sorry ass.

If you have a good TV and such home viewing is good as well although it seems slightly less special than making the trip to the theatre.

On top of all that... then there's the occasional movie theater shooting like we had in el segundo last week....

I used to go to movies more often. I don't know what has changed though.... Most of the movies that come out lately just don't seem to be my style. I might go see the Harold&Kumar escape from gitmo this friday for a change of pace.
