Sure, alcohol is bad too. But it's legal, so people don't think of it as "bad".

Why is it bad? Because it kills thousands of people each year.

But honestly...laws have little to do with it. Those advocating pot are stupid to use alcohol as a reason why pot should be "OK" too.

At what age do you learn the concept of "two wrongs not making a right?" Maybe 6 years old? Let's advance a little here, people.

I've seen people driving "high" who were JUST as apt to kill someone on the road as a drunk driver. For that reason alone, I think ONE legal drug is enough. I don't want TWICE the number of morons on the same streets as me, thanks.

Yup - in the privacy of my home or the homes of my friends. The moment your "recreational activities" infringe on the safety of someone else I have a problem with it.

I would have no problem with potheads they all did it in private - sit in their bedroom, get high, and go to sleep or play video games/watch a movie. But that isn't the case. People drive high all the time, go to school high, go to work high, etc. I don't want a pothead working on my car, or giving me tech support over the phone... and I damn sure don't want some pothead pushing drugs at my little brother, but it happens.

agreed, but I think that someone who gives his opinion to others like he is on moral high ground, shouldn't be a hypocrite, which is why I asked if he drank.

In my opinion, alcohol is a FAR more inebriating substance, which in the end is the root of the 'badness' of either, right?

Personally, if I HAD to choose, I'd rather be on a freeway full on stoned people than drunk people every time... at least they'd be driving slower and more paranoid

And is it the stoners that are always beating their wives, getting into bar fights, etc...? didn't think so, aggression is generally an alkie behavior.

Bottom line, everyone should be able to think about things and make their own decisions in life... I just wish everyone was capable of it.
