Is this normal for a bike shop

I guess it is fair, I just was not sure if it was standard practice.If I was told before hand it would be no biggie, it just caught me by surprise. And yes in the auto industry we do get payed for warranty work.If they did not, they would have no mechanics. But you do not get payed if the car comes back with the same problem.I have learned my lesson, im just gonna come to youre shop for now on.The drive is worth it.

I would think that they would eat 5$ for 110$ pedals.

Not sure what Jax store it was but I spoke with another manager in our Irvine location today and neither one of us would have charged shipping if you bought the pedals from us. Not sure 100% on policy here. We warranty ALOT of parts as big as we are, many not even bought from us. It's hard to eat $3000 to 5000 a year but still. if you bought them there I would have not charged shipping due to the fact that it was normally stocked item and we don't charge shipping for that. Sorry that happened. Policy will get worked out asap so this doesn't happen again. I sure hope it wasn't Irvine after writing this (fingers crossed)

It's just the cost of gas for the UPS truck, if they were shipped USPS the cheapest deal would be $4.60 so it's really just the cost of doing business.
