i might be going this saturday for the drift event, through a scion vip connection. im hoping my dad gets tickets for the race weekend, he usually does.

I didn't know the drift race was happening this weekend. If a buddy of mine up in LB is heading out AND if I can sneak out from work, it's in the cards. Which day?

It has been over 10 years since I last went to the LB Grand Prix. It was a huge blast. It was also a learning experience in that earplugs are mandatory at every motor event.

The drift challenge is on Sat at 3:10pm after the Champ Car session 2 qualifying. Looks like they have an additional drift challenge on Sun too at 3:20pm after the Champ Car race.

Can't wait to see those Audi diesels. I'm surprised they are running cars already (I saw on the news they are running the celebrity cars today), as the event isn't until next weekend.

Drift cars, I fail to see the excitement in that. At least they changed the name to challenge, I never understood it being called a race.

Are the Audi and Peugeot diesels racing in the USA this year? Doubt you'd hear more than a whistle and whine from those. Somehow good but then again somehow wrong

Audi's yes, Peugeot's no. I believe they only intended to run Sebring as a testbed for Le Mans 24 hour.

And you're right about the Audi's. Last year you could really only hear the tires as they raced past, it was odd yet very, very cool.

As an Audi fan, I approved.

the peugeots did compete in the 24hrs of daytona i think they have to compete in some of the endurance races in the states to get qaulified for the grand daddy le mans.

Are you sure about that? The Rolex is a Grand Am series (running Daytona prototypes). You may be thinking of the Sebring 12 hours as that race is an American Le Mans series which allows the LMP's to run.

I’ll be there with kids in tow.Mr. Hobbs will be there also but working in the Swift Engineering trailer .
This is our companies home race and the last ever Champ Car race.

and today is press day, a car from each series, the celebrities and a bunch of drift cars on the track today ,no qualifying or practice.
