Does anyone know if anything that is in bloom right now has cat nip qualities? As of late, when I get back from a ride my roommates cat goes loopy and rolls in the clothes that I had on. I know it's weird, but I can't have the only odd cat in OC.

Our two cats do the same thing. Rode the SC singletrack last week thru 6ft. tall weeds and the cats just about mauled me coming into the house. Serious sniff-fest for a good ten minutes. One of them loves sticking his head into 'just-worn' shoes, and leaving it there. Go figure

My two cats get all loopy in my riding gear too. They leave drool marks on the tires where they rub their little cat heads on them.
If I ride in the weeds, the shoes get the same treatment--its pretty funny to watch! Yep, its the season for pollen allergies and cat drool!! |

If those cats are still under warranty I'd send them back. They seem defective.
Take that advice with a grain of salt. I'm no cat whisperer. Although I've been known to have a way with the other type of cat...

I've heard cougars make some pretty intimidating noises under the right circumstances...

We got a pretty good sized feline beast. The other night, Midlle of the night I wake to this SNIFF...SNIFF...SNIFF...full-on "kitty inhaling" the Riding and Hiking clothes. I had to pick him up and take him away. Cracked me up , glad there are others out there.

Same thing here. Must be the smell of "outside" though my Monster also goes nuts when I come home from the pool. No telling what smells good to a cat.
