Today, I just received my Onkyo 605 receiver and I think I also need new speakers. My current speakers consist of the JBL TLX series as fronts/center and Polk R 40 as rears. yeah, nothing much.
Does anyone have any experience with Aperion or Axiom speakers? I'd like something on the warmer side, but still accurate with minimal coloring. thanks. |

You should PM David (Kish Me). He has a AV company and could answer any questions you may have. Maybe even the ever popular STR discount.

The Aperion and Axiom are both good speakers, I would also recommend looking at paradigm, excellent imaging Speakers.

I've never heard most of the speakers mentioned. I have B&W 603s and I've always liked the way they sound. When I bought my system I spent a long time looking at (listening to) a Rel sub. They might be what you're looking for if you can find a dealer here. www.rel.net. If you're not familiar with certain speakers a visit to the demo rooms at a good dealer should solve the problem. If they know what they're doing they can set up various speakers side by side so you can compare them on the spot. |

Ooh...Ooh!!
You could always consider rounding out your R40 rears with Polk all the way around. Wonderful imaging since all the speakers are matched. Wait a sec... I know where you could get some!! And you'd save a hell of a lot of money!! ![]() Home Theater System |
