Coworker did that on his windows and linux PC's. The only downside is that the icons sometimes get grainy because they aren't vector like on a Mac. Now he runs OSX.

Try Rocket Dock. Very customizable and good user base is always coming up with cool schemes. You can nail down the Mac launcher almost to a tee, or take it in a completely different direction if you want to. Very slick utility - and best of all it's free!
Oh, and why bother with the expense of buying a Mac if you already have a PC. With a bit of tinkering, PC owners can run OSX. Check out: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/indexpage.php and http://www.osx86project.org/. |
