OMG you dont even know. i quit because i was sick. so i ended up getting SICK as a DOG for 3 months. On albutural breathing treating w/ a nebulizer, had to get steroid shots a couple times. i was coughing so much that i once passed out and took a header into the carpet my poor wife thought i had a heart attack or something. I will NEVER ever smoke again. I love the taste and smell of things and I want to be around for my kids.

I know the feeling. Not many people in Rancho Santa Margarita smoke...and of the 10 people that smoke in town I have three neighbors on my cul-da-sac who smoke. Can't believe my bad luck. One family even has teens that smoke together with the parents! Can you f'in believe that! I thought this was California not Kentucky! Of course typical f'in smokers they don't like to smoke in their house so they smoke outside on their porch, backyard wherever...Even though it is outdoors I still smell their sh!tty smoke! How'd they like it if I emitted some other toxin like acqueous ammonia or something because I am "addicted" to it? I'll bet they'd pitch an f'in fit!
I really think the only place smokers should be able to smoke is in their cars or houses with the windows shut! |

Though I don't buy them personally I do occasionally bum them, like over the last two weeks. Fighting a nasty bit of bronchitis it actually helped to dry out all the mucus in my lungs and breathe easier without losing the voice on which my livelihood depends. As far as other combustibles I have no appetite for them in my old age, but do believe in the benefits for patients with digestive systems that are worn from too many pills. I saw my own late brother go from near death to gaining 15 lbs and color in his face in one month. Best of all the intravenous nocturnal feeding tube was removed from his chest and he lived for another five years without it thanks to the munchies. So the state law says no tobacco within 15 feet of doors and windows, frustration will be inevitable when offenders fail to note the direction of the wind. Personally, like Johnny Depp I would enjoy visiting Europe where you can still smoke in a restaurant after enjoying a meal. But am willing to settle for occasional trips to the bastion of all that is debauched, Vegas. Truly Disneyland for big kids, You can smoke, drink (in a plastic cup), and order sex just about everywhere. The thoughtful management even places ashtrays and a convenient place to set your drink while using the facilities. God Bless America. ![]() |

Wow, people who don't smoke sure do whine a lot. I guess having some beers after a satisfying ride and driving home is a way smarter thing to do.
I sit here humbled by all of your perfect lives and infinite wisdom.![]()

The thing is...we live in a complex where you can't smoke indoors. It's common courtesy (and the rule of the complex) that there is a designated area for it. I moved in here with those rules and somehow I get punished because my stupid neighbors don't have any interest in following the rules. Why should I have to live with their smoke? I'm not a smoker!
The thread started about inconsideration. Smoke if you want or don't smoke if you don't want to. Just don't smoke around me because I don't want to inhale your second-hand cloud. Like Hugh said, I ain't perfect. I am an occasional drinker but NEVER drink and drive. Just commenting on some people's lack of inconsideration. The world is full of inconsiderate people. |

Ok so here’s a question, why do some people think that cigarette butts are not TRASH? WTF - nothing makes me madder then seeing someone flick a spent cigarette butt out the window onto the street.

(I still remember my first smoke too). Smoked for 18 years! Now only if I could lose this gut!
