Maybe they can come up with one of these for mountain biking? I don't know what the weight is but it looks kinda rad.

In 2010, motorcycle gear manufacturer Dainese will release protective suits outfitted with airbags. It's apparently taken them ten years to get the system right and they've just released a video demo.

I wonder if it's set up with a killswitch type of engagement system (if you go off the bike it engages) or something entirely different.

Can't watch it at work =/

one of my neighbors has one of these made by BMW for his motorcycle. Not sure it would be practical for mtbing and yes it is heavy and about $700 . It activates when you separate from the bike, which in mtbing everytime you have a step off you'd look like the michelin man...

I saw a guy lay down his r1 on the west fork yesturday kind of funny because they past me over the double yellow and he wasnt hurt
