oh come on stevie g is scoring some nice goals and I know his assists to torres are a contributing factor... The red number 8 will forever be like a greek god,

One thing that is keeping me on the edge of my seat is this

Pos Team P W D L F A GD Pts
1 Man. Utd. 30 22 4 4 61 15 46 70
2 Arsenal 30 19 10 1 58 22 36 67

Fulham (has three players from So-Cal) is in the relegation zone... but they do play a lot of the teams from the bottom of the table... Like everyeon keeps talking about "there are 24 points availble"

yea, Ronaldos second goal today vs bolton sure made him look good... I'm waiting for someone to break his ankle in the champions league... him and eduardo can hang out then.

Agreed. He had a slow start, and his goals are probably less important than his playmaking.

I also like Fulham. Always been Kasey Keller fan, and I'm glad McBride is healthy again. Also, there's a running joke in London that Chelsea is the only team to play away every week, since Stamford Bridge is actually in Fulham, not Chelsea. Reading is also a team I like, also because they have some Americans, but also because of their first top division promotion ever last year.

Porto is out now so he's probably safe.

audiopablo, I'm with you on both team choices. Liverpool first and foremost and then Spurs for my countryman Berbatov! Hope he doesn't end up w/ ManU in the summer. SAF will have him riding the pine too often w/ so many quality strikers there.
Yeah, Berbatov is a genius. We do not need him going to Man U at any price. They have too much talent and he plays well along up front with Keane. My (mom & dad's) countrymen are with the Reds: Kuyt & Babel. I used to root for Arsenal when they had Bergkamp.

Hey, how about Torres and Berbatov up front for Liverpool? That would be deadly.

More movies talk: who could forget Sly in "Victory"? That has one of the best movie chants ever.

I'm with you guys on FFC. McBride is a class act and Dempsey is exciting to watch when he is on his game. The end of the season is the best because we get a drama that no (to the best of my knowledge) American sport has: the bottom three get dropped. It's just as much fun as the title race! I know you all know this, but isn't it maddening trying to explain this fundamental excitement to your non-soccer friends?

wait dimitir going to Man U? Did you see the 4-4 today? wow no way hes leaving... he has no personality but is on hell of a playa. I'd take berbatov on my team any day.

Watch out McBride is healthy and hes dirty my money goes for FFC to stay out of relegation... last year Dempsey saved them... whats the story this year... if they can stay up for a couple of year they will be able to afford some more talent to accompany our boys!

I respect the game just to much running around with not enough scoring. Kind of like climbing 10 miles just to get a mile of fireroad downhill

I've always thought that American soccer would be a lot more interesting if they integrated MLS with the semi-pro leagues and implemented a promotion system. Probably not enough money and supporters, though.

Also, if you've been following the Championship Division, it's also a 3-way race with 3-4 games left. I dig the format for promotion in that division. Top 2 promoted, 3-6 battle it out for the third spot.....lots of drama (and probably pub fights).

I was born in Liverpool so naturally I'm a devout Liverpool fan. We have a crazy schedule coming up, starting this Sunday

Scouser! As much as I am supposed to hate Liverpool, I have to give props to the most successful English team ever. Amazing supporters. Liverpool was my pre-season darkhorse pick after they picked up Torres. I would have thought Mascherano would have had a better year though.

I think with Mascherano scoring lately maybe that'll give him the confidence boost he needs. We certainly need it with Man U, Everton and Arsenal coming up. Torres is amazing. I dream of Fowler (God), Owen (on his old form) and Torres playing together. That would be awesome.

I just got my other Candy sponsored jersey signed by Barry Venison. He now lives up in Dana Point. Less the mullet Pics later.

The 2001 FA Cup final is still one of the most amazing matches I've ever seen. The two late Owen goals to beat Arsenal 2-1 was an absolutely amazing thrill to watch. I had 3 friends from England visiting at the time (no 'Pool supporters, but all Gooner-haters) and we watched it at a pub in HB full of mostly Arsenal fans. 3 Chelsea shirts and a Spurs shirt jumping up and down spilling beer for Liverpool. We probably came really close to getting our asses kicked.
