Maybe you mean a car manufacturer? Perhaps the new BMW Hydrogen 7? I think Mazda is making a hydrogen car too.

not too familiar with the greening process but aware there are more that a few consultants out there they help business develop blgs that meet certain green stads and I believe certain benefits come fomt it (maybe tax, etc). irrespective $3 is a huuuuuge number for a dealership. imagine this number may be for oem or a huge corp rollup autonation/power but still hard to imaigine for any dealership.please post mo info

There is currently a national program that has about $30-40 million in grant money and is trying to line-up matching money from private sector. It's a huge deal for plug-in hybrids and it involves very large companies and would cover a wide range of the western USA, including SoCal. So it's hard for me to picture someone spending or even having access to $3 billion from a dealership. |

What's really interesting is the trendy hop to hybrids. If you really calculate the cost of a hybrid plus the cost of replacing the batteries it really doesn't offset the cost of fuel savings. Heck, carpool stickers are no longer available in CA and the tax break is minimal at best. You are better off driving something like a Civic, Scion, or any small size car. |
