I'm putting this out to the STR people who may be interested or in need of work.I work in the ARCO(B.P.) oil refinery in Carson,Ca.We are hiring in our maintenence dept.These jobs start out at about $23.00/h and after about 3yrs.(qualifing on the next higher job),pay is around $36.00/h.with overtime rates @1.5 on regular days and 2.5 on holidays.Our maint.dept.works 4 days-10hrs./day(4/10's).we are union with medical and dental,401k and pension,paid vacation(2wks to start/3wks after 5yrs./4wks after 10yrs./5wks after 20yrs./6wks after 30yrs.).A yearly perfomance bonus is also included.Experience is not necessary but does help.Applications are taken online only.The jobs are as follows-Electrician job# 81381-Instrument Tech #81382-Motor Machinist #81383-Pipefitter #81384-Rigger #81385-Heavy Equipt.Oper./Driver #81386-Maint.Utility/Cleanup(Laborer) #81387-Welder #81388-Mechanic #81389-Lead Mechanic #81390(I believe both of these are auto/heavy equipt.mech.positions).You can find out about the job descrip .Sorry,my wife and I had problems with our computer and we just haven't gotten around to putting it back in service.I just use the computer at work to go online to surf STR.- Lloyd

Go ahead if you like but I don't get reference bonuses.We have a H.R.dept.that does the hiring.and I work in operations/Coker Unit.- Lloyd

Are you kidding!We're talking about an oil company here.Years ago when we were ARCO,we got 20% off gas purchases.Unfortunately the I.R.S.stepped in and said we would be taxed,as well as ARCO ended their credit card program.We do get "atta boys"though.If you get a recognition for a job well done they give us a $25 or $50 dollar gas card.I've got about $300 worth of cards at home that my wife and I use when we take a trip someplace.We haven't payed for gas on a vacation in a couple of years.- Lloyd
