Anyone know of a good independent Subaru repair shop in the N. Orange County area?

The check engine light came on in the wife's Forester yesterday. Checked the gas cap to make sure it was on tight and disconnected the battery for a bit to reset the light, but its still on.

Hopefully its just some sort of service reminder.

Don't know of any personally but this would be a good place to ask. A ton of knowledgeable people there.

... Turned out to be the catalytic converter. The tech said you can fix it or leave it alone. The light went off after a while by itself. Best to have it checked though.

You can just take it to autozone or kragen and they will hook up the scan tool for free. Unhooking the battery will not clear the light unless it is unhooked for a long time.

Thanks guys. I'm going to go over to the parts store and get the code read. If it's anything like the information from http://www.subaruforester.org it shouldn't be an issue.
