There's a legitimate medical procedure known as "tattooing the eye" in laymen terms. I had to have it done several years ago and the Dr. who performed it did it in his office. Some drops to numb the eye, drops to water and keep from blinking and then I sat there with head on the chin rest while he stuck a needle in my eye repeatedly. They rough up the lower layer of cells so that the outer layer can find a purchase, otherwise I would rip off the outer cell layer when I opened my eyes in the morning--that was some serious pain, and that was one tattoo worth getting. But having gone through the medical procedure there is no way in hell I'd have someone do a tatto there for preference/expression/vanity/foolishness...After the Dr. finished my procedure I asked how he could hold the needle as still as he did and his reply was, "Experience, and I developed great hand-eye coordination from video games as a kid."
