I am a GM guy, so I would have to pull for the burban. The new suburbans are nice, huge inside compared to the last model.

Why do you think Mercedes are so costly, old technology along with on star. Benz had tele-aid in the late 90's and drop cylinder on the 220-230 chassis.

We're into our third Suburban and we use its capacity ALL the time (water polo drivers, River trips, Sonoma trips) and it's perfect as a transporter. Keep your foot light and it easy to get 18 -21 highway.

I have to agree with the rattling and plastic-like interior. We've had a higher than average rate of recalls and dealer visits (as compared to our F-150 & F-350 trucks).

If you get the second row captains chair option, you can recline the seats, but you lose passenger capacity.

If you need the biggun', I'd look seriously at the XL series (long) Expeditions. The latest truck mag reviews all rated the XL higher than the 'Burb.

Good luck.
