And women wonder why people like Tom Leykis are popular with the modern male. (personally I think he is an ass and a hypocrite but I'll save that for another rant)
Personally, I agree with her example of positive re-inforcement as that is helpful in any marrage. But before she decided to mold her husband into her own (flawed) image perhaps she should have communicated to him rather than resort to Pavlovian parlor tricks. Personally I think she is a manipulative b!tch and I hope that, like shamu or other trained animals past (linky: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontl.../trainers.html) , her "pet" turns on her and rips her to shreds. Her passing this drivel off as a marrage manual further proves how little evolved we truly are. We as humans are supposed to be intelligent, reasoning and communicative but apparently though we (humans) can create a movie that realistically portrays Sparta, 18th century England, or a human-robot war; we cannot tell our mate not to crowd us in the kitchen. If she ever succeeded in "training" her man then she should not be so proud in call him her "man". Especially if he is stupid enough to fall for her tricks. The quality of her shamu..I mean "man" is a great reflection of her intelligence(Hi everyone...this is my Shamu and he does neat tricks).
It's a lot easier and cheaper to just get a dog, shamu needs a huge tank......IT'S BACON!!!!!!!! What comes around goes around, that's all I got to say. Quote:

I don't understand how a woman could be attracted to a man who is so easily manipulated! If I can "train" a guy, I can guarantee you I will be absolutely bored with him very soon. I like guys who are exactly who they are and if I don't like some aspects of his personality I accept it or move on...

![]() I agree with Chris though, communication is much more effective than training tricks. Positive reinforcement is a form of communication even if it is non-verbal at times.

I think her main problem was that she shifted the blame on him. I only scanned the article, but she sounds like she was terribly picky--I mean, nagging him about when to shave and such? She seems to have grown to appreciate the little things he does (and called in positive reinforcement); isn't any relationship better with a little appreciation? She should recognize that the communication and appreciation issue is two sided and doesn't need training like Shamu...after all, not everyone likes fish
![]() That being said, I would hate to be with someone and think that the relationship would be better if only he would change himself, or have him think that of me. I totally agree with " I like guys who are exactly who they are and if I don't like some aspects of his personality I accept it or move on..." Just my $0.01, someday it will be worth a whole $0.02
