It was wierd because it was all tucked in with some iceplant, and I couldn't really descern the leaves

Since it is open again. It is known as a Western or Pacific------------------?
westhem.jpg Look at the needles. The bark is Kinda red and kinda stringy.

This one has no hints ect... It can be blue or florescent pink. I ate these while walking in the woods as a kid, looks like a salmon berry or blue berry..I will let this ride. It is the name of a book, that is all you get.
