I will tell you cause I have a really cool one, the plant is devils claw. Now for something different. This is not a plant but from what type of bird, I talked to a ranger to find out what this came from.It is found on the ground or in dense brush. The birds do not fly a lot. This was found on the San Juan trail when I was hiking.

not a road runner. The birds are small. This one had broken egg shells around it. A rodent must have got to it.

I don't know what it is, it was on the side of the trail in a couple of small patches in just one area. Not located anywhere else on the ride, it looked pretty cool because it was so bright and stood out.
