Not a cactus, grows in the pine needles and only grows in the higher elevations where there is snow.

I'd guess Jimson Weed for the first (anybody remember giant moths at the top of Anaheim stadium?)
and some type of Crocus for the second.

it's some sort of a mushroom- I've got similar pics from Yosemite- they get a white or polka-dotted stock below them and can get to 6-9" in height. really "alien"

Not a fungus, but lives off of mycelium of fungi to give it food.

OK we have a night blooming cactus (not sure about the proper name), and the other is a crocus.
