Even when they get shootings and beatings on camera, the cops are usually found innocent! It boggles the mind!

usually you dont get all the info from a personal video, the second person gets caught. you dont know what actions proceeded. Not trying to defend because some times i wonder too.

That cop was obviously a knucklehead, BUT...you all know some young punks are going to see this video, hear about the outcome, and start (or continue) being disrepectful to authority figures.

Well like the article said we don't get to see the whole incident on the video but his behavior seemed unnecessary, kids are kids for a reason. If they were breaking the law site em and be done with it. The lecture isn't necessary or even productive at that point. All that kid is gonna remember is... that guy was a d!ck.

Having growing up on the wrong side of the law, I could tell you stories that you'd think were from TV. But it's real and cops kill people. They also tell you to leave town and they also plant evidence. Some of the worse beatings I ever got were at the hands of law enforcement and you know what a threat I am, all 5'3" of me. And I didn't weigh more then a buck twenty till I hit 25.

Still I have a couple of friends that are cops today and they can tell you stories you'd find hard to believe. You'll say that doesn't happen here in the USA, but it does!

Cops like that were the same kind that thought I'd back down, I wouldn't and paid a price, but I got a lick or two in so I was happy.

You must be kidding??? the "dude" comes in like a barking enraged dog and takes the kids skateboard without provocations, and the kid should be respectful?

This buffoon is a bully, this guy could not stand to an adult. The kid's body language was submissive, the more fear and submission the moron smelt, the more aggressive he was. Just like a dog...

Put an AH in an uniform and you just get a bigger AH.

Watch the show COPS, these guys are dealing with dangerous criminals and still they address them as human beings.

I am not defending the cop, but there had to be some sh!t going on before the recording began. Listen again, the kid's friends told him twice to shut up.

F*ck that. Respect is earned not given. Yes, the kid should have shut up but he is a kid and kids, especially teenage boys, do and say dumb sh!t.

However anyone who wears a uniform that is paid to serve (police, fire, military, etc) should place professionalism over personal feelings. Congrats "Dude" you just made that family very rich.

That was just wrong, that cop has some power issues. I did not see why he needed to go down the path he chose to. If he were talking to my kid like that, well lets say I would end up in jail.

My first reaction: Those kids are lazy punks. They should have to outrun the po-leece/rent-a-cops like my buds and I always did during the bleak skater days of the '80s. Instead, they just hit "record." Dood was in a golf cart, for chrissakes!! ... But truthfully, i love seeing blowhard jagoffs brought down just cuz they got caught being their a-hole selves on camera, and then got exposed on the Net. Skate on, boys. And keep the cameras rolling.

I love all the cop haters in the world. However, they are the first people you call when you are in trouble.

First of all, this video doens't show everythign that happened. We have no idea what that kid did. Most kids nowadays have absolutely no respect for authority because their parents refuse to be parents. It's pathetic. They just have rich mommy and daddy bail them out of everything. Notice the first thing that kid said was that he was going to call his mom? LOL. He's freakin 14 years old, not 5.

I wonder what the response would be like here if you saw a video of a rider poaching on an illegal trail and gets caught by a ranger, who IS a law enforcement officer. What if this rider starts lipping off to the ranger and doesn't stop riding on this trail? I think the feedback on this forum would be SLIGHTLY different from the tone I'm getting right now from some of you.

Honestly, I think this kid needed this smack down. I don't think anyone has ever disciplined this kid because he just doesn't quit, while the rest of the kids know that they were wrong and shut up. It's going to be a sad wakeup call for his ass when he grows up and finds himself in jail next to Bubba because he felt like he could do whatever he felt like.
