Default Good and Bad news

I'm excited so I thought I would share the good news that my escrow opens tomorrow! So tired of waiting for the forms to get signed, I just want to get the ball rolling. Calling to get the inspection going tomorrow and then basically a waiting game until I get to move in I will be having an STR house warming if anyone wants to attend you are welcome. Small place but hey its got a big balcony that will have a BBQ on it!

The bad news is I hurt my shoulder pretty good three weeks ago and have been trying to let it heal naturally but it hasn't. Went to the DR on Monday and he said I tore part of the muscle that connects my neck, back and shoulders. Been riding on it and just dealing with the pain. He put me on muscle relaxers and something else to heal the muscle for the next 5-7. I went riding today after work and it started hurting pretty good again after just a few miles. So, I think I need to take some time off the bike which really bums me out. Was very much looking forward to riding now that we have some sun for a change.

Anyway, thought I would share my day with my rolling dirty friends!

Congrats on the escrow, now it's just waiting to get the paper work together and transfer over to you. Heal up so that you don't continue to hurt your shoulder

Yup, all the paperwork would have been done sooner but the seller is using a relocation company to sell the place because he is being relocated for work. The relo company happens to be in NYC which has made the process much longer than it typically is. Now we have all the signed papers though finally so I can get the loan locked and everything else ready to move in. (pending I dont find something terribly wrong with the place during the 17 day contingency period)

Congrats on getting a loan these days! I'm a realtor and I know what I'm talking about. You're now going to be living the California Dream... BTW, the market will turn and start the appreciation cycle all over again. Good move on buying! And remember, grasshopper... real estate is a long term investment!

Sorry to hear about the shoulder, but those muscle relaxers will probably be a big hit at the STR Housewarming Party!

Congrats on the house. Great timing!
(just please don't tell me you were the one to buy my dream house in PH)

One minor setback, but one major step ahead. That's good living!

Congrats on the escrow Jordan. Your arms will be plenty sore after signing all of the documents to buy the house.

Let me know if you need help moving residences with your messed up shoulder. I'm sure we could round up a few bubbs and some pickups to help you move your stuff.

60 day escrow starts tomorrow. I would have done a 30 but I am stuck in an apt lease until the end of June I cannot break out of. So, the longer my escrow is the least amount of months I have to pay for both places.

Congrats on the new place jordan. If you need help moving let me know. As long as you have a beer for me to drink while I'm sweatin' away I'll be happy, lol. We'll be sure to make that house plenty warm with your housewarming party Sucks though that your arm is jacked up. Right when you made it back to the loop that one night too. better to stay off the bike and let it heal right than rush it and prolong the healing process.

Congrats on the escrow, can't wait to see it.

Hope the shoulder heals well. Don't push it. A few weeks off the bike is better than a few months because of rotator cup injuries and torn tendons etc.

Bums you out but that's the deal. I've got two orthopedes in the family and have had my fair share of injuries too so I can say from a fairly informed point of view that you need to stay mostly off the shoulder and let it heal properly over a couple months.

If you keep riding, especially mountain biking, you're going to keep tearing it in small ways and delay the healing process. If you're desperate to ride, do some mellow fire roads or, I dare-say, put in some road miles. These injuries take a surprisingly long time to heal. It's winter, no biggie to take some time off.

Good luck, and congrats on the Escrow. You read the fine print, right?

I'm bringing my beer cooler. You have the option of either drinking it or using it on your shoulder.
