Where I grew up, there was no fun outside. It was 150 degrees with 200% humidity. And if that didn't get you the spiders, snakes, and mosquitos would.

So I just hung out by myself inside with my legos.

Not only all that, but then to add insult to injury, we had to survive the 80's, recover from them in the 90's, and now sit around and wonder where those twenty minutes, I mean 20 years, went!

Ah, the memories......... my high school chemistry teacher made it a class law that we all had to use a slide rule on tests. I've still got mine in my desk drawer as a reminder.

And forget about tapping a screen to change songs. Way back when, you got off your butt and flipped the LP over - and DON'T DRAG THE NEEDLE!!!!

We had Pong but were only allowed to play for certain length of time and only a couple times a week. Our parents would kick us out of the house to get banged up, bruised, fall down hills, etc rather then trying to protect us from everything AND if we did something wrong it was OUR fault and not societies.

I had a Schwinn 36/36 that was tricked out pretty good but I always wanted a Torker "Eddy King" replica, ya know, the ones with the double top tubes and very light weight?

Had to dig up a pic

The Torker

The 36/36 (although mine was red with after market parts)

BMX newb was it a gt, OR a dyno? 2 different companies owned by the same corp. Would you say you have a trek bontrager? i think not.

Ive been in the bike industry for 14 yrs, and this is the one thing that has allways bothered me. no one ever tried to say gt robinson, or gt auburn- even though its all the same company. oh yeah, no gt powerlite either.

and to share music with a friend you first had to inspect the quality of his needle and review record handling procedures.

I had one of those LP kits - the one with the little bottle of spray stuff (pledge for LPs?) and the super soft felt pad to collect all the dust before carefully placing the needle down.... old school lives!

I still listen to records. There's something about it. Some stuff (like jazz for example) just sounds more natural on vinyl.

I would never under any circumstance spray any pledge-like substance on them though. I did have to wipe an old Neil Diamond down with alchohol once though cuz it had mold on it.

Remember when you went to Disney Land and you only had a limited amount of tickets so you had to choose what rides you rode on very carefully

Coming from a big family without much $$ my dad would take us there for free then buy maybe two books of tickets for the whole gang. We'd save leftover tickets for next time, but that was mostly just A tickets (yay, the merri-go-round). Same things for Knots where you could wander around the ghost town for free.
