I thought about getting a small sized bell since I had a few close calls around blind turns and DH areas. I guess people "only" hear me when I'm cussing before, during, and after a crash.

I remember seeing a website with some interesting bells. IE: Sumo wrestler and a hamburger. Anyone have pics or leads for some cool ones?

Yeah, I have thought about getting a bell too. The problem comes when you're both ringing the bell thinking the other one is going to get out of the way. haha

My wife bought me one similar to this one for my birthday last year. It didn't fit my bars so it's on my son's tricycle now. I use a bear bell I got from REI for $3.

I dont silence mine. You can use a magnet if you wanted to. I like using the bear bells in the mornings when theres a lot of walkers,Joggers around.

I use a nice little brass bell that I picked up at Olvera Street once. Looks really old. I've thought of hanging it off the front of my saddle (if you've ever seen the movie 'the Far Country', Jimmy Stewart did that with his saddle), but I think all that noise would start to drive me crazy, so I just have it hanging off my camelback. People still seem to hear it though.

I dont have one yet but will be ordering one. Theres plenty of shops online that sell it. They are made by Dimension.
