haha Aliso was just the closest trail that I was familiar with... I believe A LOT of work and some careful tuning I should be able to pedal it up Cholla. Oh and a couple shots of steroids.

The bike did pretty good for a DH bike. I was only able o do the fire road and most of the small climbs to rock it. Not Cholla, or TOTW.

Theres only one place one should break in such a sweet rig...The Fully Loop Baby
Sure, you might need a pressure suit and definitely a FF helmet but its worth it
LOL Aliso is a trail I'm really familiar with so I would be able to do better there. Thanks to Abstrakt77 and his friend for joining the ride.

As for trying it out at Aliso, Rockit or Lynx might actually bum you out. Those trails don't really let a dh bike get up to the proper speed to make it come alive. You can, however, take her down one of the canyon side trails and let go of the brakes a bit. Once up to speed, those steeper, rockier trails will wake that bike up. You'll be amazed.
It did okay today, I believe the fork may have been underfilled with oil at the factory because it was toping out pretty hard. You are right that the trail don't let me pick up enough speed, but it was nice to just get in a ride on the bike and try to cycle the suspension a little. Besides the topping out the bike felt great, and launched some cool spots I didnt think I could do before.

The bike is sprung to a 150lbs max rider though.

Indeed from the Path. I actually considered getting a different bike because I'm really tight on cash right now but Tani convinced me to buy it anyway.. haha

Hopefully they can fix my fork problem tomorrow and I can get in another ride with it before I start work on Sunday again!

Love the brown saddle. Ever since I saw this one video where this guy had a blue bike with white rims and a brown saddle I have liked brown saddles.

You will get used to it. I used my 43lbs BigHit as my only ride for awhile. I even tackled Blackstar to the motorway. Granted I was second to last to get to the motorway.Climbed it all but some of the really steep parts, due to the fact I could not keep the front tire from wondering.cimg1340(2).jpg

I rather not discuss price, lets say its enough to down payment on a middle class motorcycle. Weight is 43.13lbs.

I did Aliso again today with the company of "Big bad Brad" (Dhwebkook) and the bike still needs to be dialed in, but its only been my second ride on it. Riding with Brad though was fun and he gave me some great tips for better riding

We need to set up some weekly rides for big bikes that make hiking fun! haha

not too sure... It was just Brad and myself riding out of the bottom of Oaks. We were riding DH bikes so if those guys were riding an ASX and Demo 8 then yeah it was us.
