My wife and I made it a point to ski Taos one last time over the Chirstmas holiday this year, before the boarders invade.
And Mountain High West might as well be a boarder only place. I made two runs there and gave up. |

I think maybe a Nerf gun battle between skiers and boarders is in order here...

Just another slacker.

My only problem with boarders is their sense of judgement when they get on a hill that's too hard for them. If you can't carve a turn on a steep hill, stay off of it. It pisses me off when I see a boarder side slipping down a run. What they've done is just cleared all the good snow off the trail and now we're stuck with hard pack or even ice underneath. Other than that, I don't have a problem with them.

I agree with local issue. I don't ever ride locally anymore. I only go where work takes me. Which last season was Park City, Jackson Hole and Northstar.
My favorite of all time is Jackson Hole. It was such a relaxed place. There were a lot more Skiers then Boarders but they all were nice and happy to share the mtn and even guide me some. Park City Resort is probably the worst place I have been outside socal and not really far behind. There are a ton of guys who think they can rip a good amount of guys who damm good and a handful of guys who are just badass. Not to mention the number of guys who think they are Tanner Hall too. Yeah I have poles too since I have been doing a lot more exploring when I ride instead of sticking to the runs. When I saw the whole thing about the poaching i found it pretty funny. It does not surprise me little bit that two of the three are in the SLC area. |
